There is a lot of art work like this around the city. This one is on the walls of the train underpass. Both sides are painted and I think that it is to prevent graffiti. For the most part it works. There is also painting of the history of BA on the walls of the subway.
This is a Mosque about 6 blocks from our apartment and fairly close to the US Embassy. Today in church we met two couples who are here working at the embassy. One is a doctor that is here to take care of Americans at the Embassy, I don't know if that would include any Americans in the country or not. He only works with English speaking people. He and his wife got here about a week before us.
No the light switch is not the object of this picture. It is the entrance card to the left that is of interest. When we come in we have to place the card in this holder and it turns on the electricity to the room. When we leave, and leave lights on it doesn't matter because as soon as we take the card out it turns off the electricity to the room and all heaters, coolers, lights, t.v., etc. Must save lots on their electric bill. You put the card in when you come in and it turns everything on again. Genius.
